How Elena took it up a level

I joined Space Station as a store manager in Kings Heath, and set my sights on progressing within the company to a role with more responsibility. With the help of the company and my managers, I worked my way up to being an area manager in Birmingham, covering two stores in Kings Heath and Solihull.

I felt completely supported in my progression, with every stage giving me the confidence to manage more stores effectively. So confident in fact, that when two more stores were added to the portfolio in Daventry and Shrewsbury, I took those on too. 

It’s been a huge learning curve for me, but I have now become much better at delegating responsibilities and managing more staff. My line manager and the team in Head Office are always there if I have a question, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come already at Space Station – I can’t wait to see what else I learn here.
