At Space Station, we like to give back to our community and staff whenever we can. This means ensuring our employees know how much we value them, championing diversity in the workplace and doing what we can for charity whenever possible. Read more about the ways in which we give back and promote a great environment for all our employees here.
When someone joins our team at Space Station, we want them to feel completely welcome and able to be themselves. It’s our aim to create an environment that allows our staff to share who they are and what they stand for with others, helping us learn more about them – and develop a more well-rounded view of the world as a result.
No one encapsulates this more than Dean, our IT Technician. During Pride Month this year, Dean took the initiative to send round emails to the entire company. Through them, he educated our team on the history of Pride Month, why we still need to mark it now and how it celebrates the beauty of diversity year after year.
At Space Station, we want to change the face of the industry, helping those who have been underrepresented to thrive and grow in their roles, and challenging the stereotypes of various departments.
For example, property has long been seen as a very male-dominated space, but it’s important to us to show that it’s a great area for anyone to work in, regardless of gender or identity. We recently welcomed Julie to the team, joining us as a Property Manager and becoming an inspiration to any young women wanting to get into the industry. We are so proud to have supported Julie into this position and are excited to bring more people like her into the team to keep breaking these barriers!
We want all our employees to thrive at Space Station – and how better to make sure of this than by asking them directly what they want? Our Employee Value Proposition survey asked our team what they love - and what could be improved - about their experience at Space Station. Their answers allowed us to create a culture going forwards that fits their needs perfectly, and focuses on cultivating the areas that they really value.

As a community-focused company, we want to do everything we can to give back to the areas and people around us. Our team dedicates 1% of their working hours every month to volunteering or raising funds for our chosen charities. Find out which ones we’re supporting this year below!
